Paderborn, December 1, 2023 – The international transport and logistics company Hartmann International, headquartered in Paderborn, is further expanding its network of locations in the transport and logistics sector and, with effect from January 1, 2024, is taking over Wöstemeier GmbH & Co. KG from Lippstadt with effect from January 1, 2024. The family-owned company specializes in warehouse logistics and the transport of general cargo as well as part and full loads.
Takeover due to lack of company succession
The takeover comes after the third generation of the company, which has been in existence since 1937, failed to find a successor within the family and therefore turned to Hartmann International. “The Wöstemeier company has an excellent reputation and is firmly rooted in the region around Lippstadt. Our family businesses have been working closely together for many years and both have a strong customer-oriented service culture,” says Andreas Hartmann, Managing Partner at Hartmann International, explaining the company takeover.
Part of the growth strategy
“The acquisition is another part of our strategy to build a leading, innovative logistics network. It reflects our commitment to investing in people, technology and sustainable business practices,” adds Hartmann. With the takeover of real estate, vehicle fleet and employees, Hartmann International will operate on around 35,000 square meters at its locations in Lippstadt. The Hartmann International Group will then manage a total of 149,000 square meters of logistics space at 14 locations.
